The sessions are hosted by national and international experts from universities, government agencies, businesses, and donor organizations. | | | | Knowledge Center Agenda | | | | Demonstration Farm and New Technology | | | A 41-hectare demonstration farm is situated adjacent to the exhibition site. It features new irrigation technologies, greenhouses, grape trellises, and new crops such as sweet corn and strawberries.
An efficient flood irrigation system using a 6.5 million liter reservoir and precision laser-leveled fields is demonstrated. Visitors can also view drip irrigation, siphon irrigation, laser land leveling and plastic mulch - all of these employed to lengthen the growing season, save water and allow farmers to grow higher value crops. A 15,000-kg capacity kishmish khana (raisin drying shed) demonstrates how to produce premium green raisins under clean and efficient conditions. |
